Overland Office
Below are some of the items I use for my overland office and remote work. My job requires consistent internet connection for email and video meetings. Not to mention my side hustle for this page and my YouTube page. I plan to make in depth videos on all key items I use to give people the best possible solutions I know to also be able to satisfy their sense of adventure that can't wait for retirement. Cell Booster
weBoost Drive Reach OTR
I try to find the best cell reception possible, but sometimes the spot is just too good to pass up or I am too exhausted to keep searching. When I have minimal signal I use the booster to make things more usable. It usually does not improve download speeds, but it works great for cell calls and upload speeds. I don't use it often, but it has come through a few times for me when I really needed it.
Overland Office
ARB Awning and Annex Room
I spend a lot of time here for work and relaxation. When it is my and my dog I sleep down here with him (still a puppy and does not like being left alone). I chose the awning type because of cost, ability to be screened in, and the shape of the workspace. I have been very happy with one exception. The zippers on the annex room are not water proof and water leaks through in heavy rain. Links to additional content below.
Internet
The button below will take you to the exact system and site where I purchased my system. I went with MobileMustHave because of the outstanding informational videos and customer service. Please note that I do earn a small commission if you purchase with no additional cost to you.
Peplink Max Transit Duo
"Road Warrior Package"
Internet connection is key to my work as a remote manager. I must be in constant contact via internet for email and video meetings. I use the Max Transit Duo for duel SIM capability across two different carriers for added coverage. I have 4 total SIM card slots, but only use two since the monthly payments add up quickly. This system also receives two bands of wifi as well as broadcasts wifi. Could I survive with just a few hotspots? I might be able to, but this was the one system I wanted to design in overkill mode. I will be spending a lot of time on the internet for work and for me it has already paid for itself multiple times over. I don't regret spending the extra money one bit. I have noticed much better speeds than using just my phone and the convenance is huge. If you ever see Mad Max pop up on your available routers you will know I am close.
Tech Time
Compact Multi Computer System
If you are going to spend a lot of time in front of a computer, it pays to have a compact and user friendly system. I use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse that works for up to 3 different computers. the Logitech keyboard and mouse combo quickly became essential gear for me and they have been working great! I also have a monitor for a bigger screen and better placement that has been a great addition. I have no problem recommending them to others based on their performance for my use.
