Camping Gear

Below are some of my favorite camp gear items. The list is never-ending and to include everything is not practical. We will do the best to outline the most useful items below and in the gear section.

Camp Table and Chair

Frontrunner Camp Chair /
Mountain Summit Gear Table /
Ledeak Portable Camp Table

I spend a lot of time at camp working from my computer and I have been extremely satisfied with this combination. Both the table and chair are high quality and they work well together. They work great for computer work or just lounging around camp. They weigh more than some other items on the market, but I  traded weight for quality products. They have served me well for over the past 2 years and I highly recommend them.

Overland Office

ARB Awning and Annex Room

I spend a lot of time here for work, relaxation, and sometimes sleeping. When it is me and my dog Zeus I sleep down here with him (big chicken and does not like sleeping alone). I chose the awning type because of cost, ability to be totally enclosed, and the shape of the workspace. I have been very happy with one exception. The zippers on the annex room are not water proof and water leaks through. I am trying out different ideas to keep the water out. Full walkthrough video below.

Tailgate Workspace

When cooking I usually use the tailgate. To make the tailgate a better work surface, I covered it with a plastic tabletop and that improved things greatly. The ARB fridge and propane bottle are positioned for easy access from the tailgate. I also have a simple tarp I can put up when it rains to have plenty of dry space for cooking.

POWER

Power Station and Custom Power

Power management is essential for my creature comforts and working remote. I use a Yeti 500 power station for my in cab items (mostly my cell router). For everything else, I built my own Power system to meet custom needs housed in packout box. It is a 100ah system with power distribution in my RTT, Truck Bed, & Awning Area. It also powers my fridge and camp lighting. I have a 25Amp DC-DC charger and 180wt solar to keep things topped off. I had very little knowledge about power stations when I started and it was actually my introduction to YouTube as I pieced information together. Since I was not an expert I pretty much over-engineered everything with larger wire and additional fuses. Due to increased power demands I am currently rebuilding for more capacity. I am doing a complete video series on the build.  Coming soon!
